The development of international cooperation between Singapore and Malaysia

Run from 11 to 18 March, 2016 KAFU delegation visited educational institutions in Singapore and Malaysia for the purpose of promoting international cooperation, as well as studying the training experience in modern technical specialities. The delegation consisted of 3 people: KAFU President, Member of National Academy of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erezhep Mambetkaziev; Vice President for KAFU International Programs and Cooperation, Daniel Ballast and Advisor to KAFU President Aisulu Abdybaeva.

On 11 March KAFU delegation was received by Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, Erlan Kozhataev. The meeting discussed the development of technical and vocational education in Kazakhstan.

During the visit an agreement was reached on the organization of meetings with educational institutions. At the meetings KAFU delegation was accompanied by Ambassador Advisor Kazbek Juman and attaché Asel Tinikeeva.

KAFU delegation visited the following universities, colleges and educational institutions in Singapore and Malaysia.

Academy PSB is one of the largest educational institutions in Singapore that provides training for international programs in collaboration with universities in Australia and the UK. KAFU delegation met with the Head of the Academy Presidency Wiwa Sinah, Vice President of Academy Corporate Strategy Brain Sen and Head of the Academic Council Seram Ramakrishna.

Temasek Polytechnic is one of the five public polytechnics in Singapore. Here you can get an education in the faculties of Applied Sciences, Business, Design, Engineering, Information Technology.  At Temasek Polytechnic KAFU delegation met with Vice President Lei Tan Siok, Director of International Relations Teo Cheng Jie, Director of Professional Development John Lyon. During the meeting parties discussed issues of cooperation between educational institutions, the development of student and faculty exchange.

Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU). At APU KAFU delegation met with the university administration. The University already has a significant interest in Kazakhstan, more than 250 students from Kazakhstan are studying at the university. APU has emphasized that it wants to develop further partnerships with KAFU.

Taylor's University is one of the best universities in Malaysia. KAFU delegation met here with Dr. Mushtaq, Vice President of the University Strategic Development; Dr. Satesh, Dean of the Engineering School, and Dr. Chong, a member of the Engineering School Deans Association.

Innovative International College (IIC). KAFU Delegation last visit was in the Innovative International College in Singapore. It is a private, independent college, which offers English language courses and special programs: Business, Tourism and Hotel Management, Islamic Banking and Information Technology. The delegation met with the college manager and international marketing managers. College is interested in partnership with KAFU, it is ready to take on the training KAFU students in Malaysia.

KAFU delegation also visited Singapore educational consulting company Educare with the purpose of experience and educational programs exchange. Educare is a subsidiary of Educare Co-operative Limited - a cooperative union of teachers in Singapore. More than 10 years Educare renders services on professional development and consulting services to public and private  educational organizations in such countries as US, China, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Libya, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand and the UAE.

In the period from 7 to 9 April 2016 Educare company representatives will visit Ust-Kamenogorsk to analyze their programs pursue opportunities in our region. April 7, 2016 at 15.00 pm  KAFU Conference Hall at ave. Nezavisimosti, 86 will have a meeting with the heads of Ust-Kamenogorsk  educational institutions. April 8, 2016 at 9.00 am training will be held for Ust-Kamenogorsk school teachers and teachers of educational institutions (information letter attached).
