On February 20, 2020, judge of the specialized inter-district criminal court Raushan Eleusizovna Turlina and press secretary Akgul Murmankanovna Atudinova visited KAFU with a guest lecture on the topic “Law Enforcement of the Courts in the Consideration of Especially Serious Crimes”.
During open communication with 2nd and 3rd-year students of Law educational program, the guests focused on the priority areas of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokaev to the people of Kazakhstan “Constructive public dialogue - the basis of stability and prosperity of Kazakhstan” on toughening the punishment for crimes related to the use of violence, as well as strengthening the protection of the rights of citizens.
Raushan Eleusizovna shared her own practical experience in court, spoke about the difficulties that judges face. “Difficulties arise when a court verdict is imposed, which should be objective and impartial, taking into account the interests of both the accused and the injured parties. Despite this, today the profession of a judge is very prestigious and highly paid” — the judge emphasized.
Akgul Murmankanovna Atudinova, Spokeswoman and Chief Specialist of the Court, noted the importance of knowledge of legal psychology in the profession of a judge, as well as the need to have high moral qualities, a stable psyche, analytical mind and ability to navigate a large flow of information.
During the guest lecture, students got acquainted with the latest changes and additions introduced to the Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In order to provide guidance to future lawyers, a video about the activities of the court “Specialized Inter-District Court: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” was shown.
At the end of the meeting, students expressed appreciation for an interesting and informative activity, and the Specialized Criminal Court employees wished students zeal, creative success, and achievement of their professional goals!
