On February 18, 2020, KAFU held a meeting with Raushan Namazovna Krykbaeva, Deputy General Director for Research of the National State Katon-Karagai Natural Park
Within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation and interaction between the Kazakh-American Free University and the Katon-Karagai State National Natural Park of the Committee for Forestry and Wildlife of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on February 18, 2020, they held a meeting of students of the educational programs Tourism, Management, Finance with the Deputy General Director for Research of the National State Katon-Karagai Natural Park Krykbaeva R.N.
Raushan Namazovna presented the Katon-Karagai State National Natural Park, which is one of the largest in Kazakhstan. Since 2014, it has been included in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves, and since 2017, it has been included as the Big Altai transboundary biosphere reserve. The speaker presented a guide to the Katon-Karagai State National Park, which was prepared and published as part of the project ‚ÄúConservation and Sustainable Management of Key Globally Significant Ecosystems for Various Benefits‚ÄĚ.
Raushan Namazovna discussed with the Head of the "Business" department Ilona Vladimirovna Bordiyana the prospects for cooperation:
- cooperation in the field of scientific and methodological activities, including the holding of joint scientific and methodological conferences, seminars, webinars, trainings, competitions, research, experimental scientific work, organization of conferences, forums and congresses;
- implementation of joint educational and practical activities, which includes assistance in organizing internship institutions, compiling programs and manuals for students, joint development of new curricula, educational programs, research projects and manuals;
- university assistance in advanced training of the faculty and administrative and managerial personnel from Katon-Karagai State National Natural Park with advanced training courses;
- exchange of experience in the development of advanced teaching methods;
- career guidance measures aimed at promoting the educational activities of KAFU and the activities of the Katon-Karagai State National Natural Park.
