France – Kazakhstan: Extending Cooperation

Patrick Renna, French general counsel in Kazakhstan, met with professors and students from KAFU. The meeting was hold as a part of the working tour to Ust-Kamenogorsk. Patrick Renna was accompanied by Bulbul Bakinova, deputy akim of Ust-Kamenogorsk, and Zauresh Tanabaeva, general counsel assistant.

In his address, Patrick Renna talked about France`s positions in world economy and EU. France remains the leader in world tourism. Annual number of tourists, visiting France, can exceed 65 million of people, i.e. the number of population.

During the meeting, issues, concerning Kazakh-French cultural cooperation, were discussed. As a result of negotiations, French Center will be opened in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Among other questions, raised during the meeting, opportunities of studying at French universities, and France position in Ukrainian conflict, should be named.
